Comments:  I would have liked Morocco a lot more if I hadn't been harassed so much by the men, who seemed to find my blonde hair and presumed foreign wealth worth pursuing. I was 37 at the time, traveling solo, and I vacillated between wanting company and wanting to be left the hell alone. In a small town on the seaside in Morocco, I took long slow walks and sat, just observing. This elderly woman made her way carefully down the alley, but she was not afraid.
